AI-Enabled Energy Systems Conference: Technologies, Intelligence, and Security
bis
Johns Hopkins Homewood Campus, Baltimore
AI is transforming how energy technologies are discovered, designed, operated, and protected. Hosted by Johns Hopkins University, the AI-Enabled Energy Systems Conference will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 28, and will bring together researchers from academia, industry, and government to explore emerging research opportunities and challenges at the intersection of AI and energy. The conference will examine the role of AI across the energy ecosystem, from scientific discovery and materials design to energy technologies and infrastructure, system operations and reliability, and security and recovery. The morning session will feature invited talks and discussion across these areas. Jessica Granderson of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory will discuss AI research and applications for building performance.Stefano Sanvito of Trinity College Dublin will discuss machine learning and AI for materials discovery.Jasmine Brewer of Quantinuum will discuss generative quantum AI for scientific discovery. In the afternoon, participants will engage in a collaborative workshop focused on identifying research priorities, fostering connections across disciplines and sectors, and shaping future directions for AI-enabled energy systems.
