Join Prehealth Advising for an information session with Columbia University's College of Physicians & Surgeons and their Assistant Director of Admissions, Keyauna Ramos, to learn more about one of the medical schools most frequently attended by MIT applicants. Located in New York City's vibrant Washington Heights neighborhood, the institution offers students the opportunity to train in a diverse urban community while gaining exposure to a wide range of patient populations, specialties, and clinical experiences at a top-ranked academic medical center. Students will also learn about the school's extensive research opportunities and the many pathways available to pursue careers across the health professions. Because many MIT applicants are admitted to and ultimately matriculate Columbia each year, this is an excellent opportunity to gain insight into what makes applicants successful. Attendees are encouraged to bring questions about application timelines, the interview and selection process, strategies for developing a strong application, and the types of clinical, service, and volunteer experiences that are most valued by the admissions committee.
