Suraj Israni Center for Cinematic Arts, Mosaic Auditorium #113, San Diego
Thursday Night Special is a weekly cinema series aimed at fostering greater access and connection to cinematic arts. It is held nearly every Thursday evening during the academic year in the Suraj Israni Center Screening Room at UC San Diego. Free and open to the UC San Diego community and beyond, the series brings people together to experience films, conversations, and other cinematic programming in a casual environment. The weekly programs are curated and hosted by either the Suraj Israni Center for Cinematic Arts or the Triton Film Society, UC San Diego's student organization dedicated to an appreciation of film. Programs presented by the Center may include film screenings, filmmaker and faculty conversations, special presentations, and other cinematic events, whereas Triton Film Society programs feature films selected and presented by its members.
