In 2033, a brief civil war fractures North Korea into three competing factions — each vying for control of the remains of their country. As the North Korean state collapses, regional powers move to shape the peninsula’s future and compete for influence over what remains and what comes next. Join Strategic Crisis Simulations for our newest simulation, Rocky Reunification. Participants can take on the role of North Korean factions charting a new course for their country or South Korean officials debating reunification. Others will represent American officials seeking to maintain U.S. influence, Chinese ministers looking to expand Beijing’s regional power, or Japanese diplomats working to strengthen Japan’s position in Northeast Asia. Journalists will navigate the crisis from outside the halls of power, working to uncover and report on the many humanitarian and diplomatic crises as events across the peninsula unfold. Rocky Reunification will be held Saturday, October 24th, 2026 from 11am - 5pm EDT at George Washington University's Funger Hall, located at 2201 G St NW. Catered lunch provided. Please observe a business professional dress code. --- Event Details: https://revconnect.gwu.edu/rsvp?id=378941
