HIPS Deep Dive: Global Learning with Virtual Exchange

This workshop will take a deeper dive into one of our GSU High Impact Practices (HIPs): Global Learning. How can we create meaningful global learning experiences without requiring students to travel abroad? Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) offers an innovative approach by connecting students and faculty across institutions and cultures through intentionally designed virtual collaborations. This interactive workshop will introduce COIL as a high-impact practice, explore how it develops intercultural competence and global perspectives, and share practical strategies for integrating virtual exchange into courses. Participants will leave with ideas and tools for designing engaging, inclusive, and globally connected learning experiences for their students.
