Join us for an engaging discussion about leadership, service, and what it takes to remain steadfast when the stakes are at their highest. Join us for a compelling conversation with Steven Sund, author of Courage Under Fire, and Renn Cannon, author of Eyes on the Rose City, as they share firsthand insights from careers spent navigating some of the most challenging moments in law enforcement, public safety, and national security. Drawing from their books and professional experiences, Sund and Cannon will discuss leadership under pressure, decision-making in uncertain and rapidly evolving situations, and the personal and professional challenges that come with serving in high-stakes environments. They will also explore the importance of preparation, resilience, accountability, and courage when circumstances demand difficult decisions. They will also discuss why education must be a continuing commitment, not just a one-time milestone. In high-stakes professions, leaders and practitioners must continually study evolving threats, examine lessons from critical incidents, challenge assumptions, and translate experience into stronger judgement, preparedness, and decision-making. The webinar will offer students, professionals, and anyone interested in homeland security and public safety an opportunity to hear directly from two experienced practitioners and authors.
