Judicial Actions and Legal Parameters

bis

Washington, Washington

At November’s Symposium, we turn to the courts. Judges, lawyers, and the Department of Justice all serve as checks on executive power, and during this Symposia on Government Oversight and Accountability we will examine how that role is shifting. We’ll consider what the mid-term elections mean for judicial oversight, what recent Supreme Court opinions have decided and what they signal going forward, how the DOJ is changing, and how judges are responding to the Administration’s actions in court. Panelists will feature Mary McCord, professor of Law at the Georgetown Law Center; Stephen Vladeck, professor of Federal Courts at the Georgetown Law Center; and Ryan Goodman, professor of Law and co-director of Reiss Center on Law & Security at the NYU School of Law. Join us on November 4 at 12pm. Location coming soon!
