Saint Peter, Barbados – From coast to coast in the island's north

Named after the Apostle and patron saint Peter, this parish lies in the north of Barbados and, together with Saint Lucy, is the only one to stretch from the east coast to the west coast. The historic town of Speightstown, one of the island's oldest settlements, lies here on the western shore. In more recent times, the "Platinum Coast", which runs north from neighbouring Saint James, has made Saint Peter a popular destination, with white sand beaches such as those along Mullins Bay. Today the parish combines tourism with village life and a rich local heritage. Do you have family stories, old photographs or memories from Saint Peter?
