North Abaco – from Crown Haven to New Plymouth
North Abaco brings together a wide range of communities on the Abaco Islands, from Crown Haven and Cedar Harbour in the far north to Coopers Town, Fire Road Village, Wood Cay, Treasure Cay and New Plymouth on Green Turtle Cay. Each settlement has its own story, shaped by the sea, fishing, boats and the families who have lived here for generations. Much of this history is kept alive in family memories and local traditions rather than in written records. According to the 2010 census, around 9,600 people live in the district.
