Saint Peter Parish, Dominica – Colihaut, Dublanc and Bioche on the west coast

Saint Peter is Dominica's least populous parish, home to around 1,450 people on the Caribbean-facing west coast. It has just three settlements: Colihaut, the largest village, as well as Dublanc and Bioche. Nestled between the mountains and the sea, these communities have long lived from fishing and farming, with rivers running down from the steep interior to the shore. Their small size has helped preserve a strong sense of neighbourliness and local tradition, handed down from one generation to the next. Today the parish is valued for its quiet villages and fine coastal views. Do you have family stories, old photos or village memories from Saint Peter? We would love for you to share them here.
