Airai – the gateway to Babeldaob at bridge and airport

Airai lies on the southern coast of Babeldaob and serves as the country's main point of arrival: Roman Tmetuchl International Airport is here, and the Koror–Babeldaob Bridge links the state to Koror Island just across the water. That position has made Airai the second most populous state in Palau and the most populous on Babeldaob. Alongside the modern road and airport, the state is known for its traditional bai, the meeting house that stands as one of the enduring symbols of Palauan village life. Members are invited to share their memories, stories and photographs of Airai.
