Hatohobei – Tobi Island and Helen Reef in Palau's far south
Hatohobei, also known as Tobi, is the southernmost of Palau's sixteen states, made up of Tobi Island and the great atoll of Helen Reef, with a total land area of only about 0.88 square kilometres. Its population was 25 in 2015, making it not only the least populous state in the country but the least populous first-level administrative division anywhere in the world. Tobian, English and Sonsorolese are the official languages of the state, and the surrounding reef is one of the richest marine areas in the region. Members are invited to share their memories, stories and photographs.
