Mont Fleuri – a Mahé district with the Sainte Anne marine islands
Mont Fleuri is an administrative district of Seychelles whose main part lies on the island of Mahé, close to the capital. What makes it unusual is how far it reaches into the sea: the district also takes in the six islands of the Sainte Anne Marine National Park, together with two islets further east, Beacon Island, also called Île Seche, and Harrison Rock. Protected reefs, seagrass beds and quiet anchorages lie within sight of the shore, so that the district joins town life and marine nature in one administrative unit.
