Saint Louis – the smallest district of Seychelles
Saint Louis is an administrative district of Seychelles on the island of Mahé and the smallest in the country, with an area of slightly more than a square kilometre. Despite its size it is densely woven into island life, lying beside the capital, Victoria, on the slopes that rise behind the harbour. Neighbours live close together here, and the district is easily crossed on foot, which gives it a village feel within an urban setting. Small size has never meant small stories.
