North West CDC – the district from Woodlands to Bukit Panjang
The North West Community Development Council is one of five CDCs set up across the Republic of Singapore to help administer government policies and schemes locally; like the others it is funded in part by the government and free to engage in fund-raising of its own. Its district stretches across the north-western part of the island, taking in towns such as Woodlands, Yishun, Sembawang, Choa Chu Kang and Bukit Panjang, and reaching the Johor Strait in the north. Reservoirs, parks and large housing estates shape everyday life here. Share your memories, photographs and neighbourhood stories with the community.
