North Hill – a small community among Anguilla's fourteen districts
North Hill is one of the fourteen districts of Anguilla and had 464 residents at the 2011 census, making it one of the smaller communities on the island. Anguilla itself is a flat, dry coral island in the Caribbean, shaped by the trade winds, by the sea on every side and by a long tradition of seafaring, fishing and boat-building. In a district this size, history lives less in monuments than in families, in the names of roads and yards, and in the memories of those who went abroad to work and came home again.
