Lezhë County – the northwestern county centred on the city of Lezhë
Lezhë County is one of the twelve counties of Albania and is centred on the city of Lezhë, in the northwest of the country. It covers 1,620 square kilometres and had 120,678 inhabitants at the 2021 count, on land that runs from the Adriatic lowlands towards the northern hills. That mix of coast, plain and mountain has long shaped the work done here: fishing and lagoon life, farming on the plain, livestock in the hills, and trade along the routes that connect them.
