Saint Mary Cayon – the parish built around the village of Cayon
Saint Mary Cayon is one of the fourteen administrative parishes that make up Saint Kitts and Nevis, and it lies on the main island of Saint Kitts. Its parish capital is Cayon, the village that has long been the parish's meeting point for markets, worship and community life. Like other parishes on the island, its story is one of farming families, coastal work and neighbourhoods where several generations often live within a short walk of one another. The landscape rises from the shore towards the wooded hills of the island's interior. Today Cayon remains a lively village with a strong sense of identity. We invite members to share their own photographs, family stories and memories of the parish.
