Anibare – Nauru's largest district by area, smallest by population
Anibare is the district that holds a double record on Nauru: it is the island's largest district in area and at the same time the smallest in population, so wide stretches of coast and inland ground lie between its scattered households. It belongs to the Anabar constituency. That combination of space and quiet has given Anibare a character of its own, with the bay and the reef shaping fishing, family outings and the rhythm of the day. Today it remains one of the calmest corners of a very small country. Do you have photographs, memories or family stories from Anibare? We would love to read them here.
