One of the best diving spots in the Philippines is Apo Island, off the coast of Negros Oriental, near Dumaguete.
Climb Mount Talinis, the highest peak in the Cuernos de Negros mountain range, and second highest in Negros Island via several trails in the towns of Valencia, Dauin, or Bacong. A day-trip is possible via the Bidjao trail, but an overnight or multi-day hike is well recommended.
